Indie Paradiso— The Mineral Sunscreen for Sensitive Skins

Created for those who dislike the feel of traditional sunscreen, Indie Paradiso is a mineral SPF 50+ for sensitive skin designed to feel like skincare rather than a chore. Inspired by the founder's daughter, Indie, who has sensitive skin and a love for sun-soaked days, this fragrance-free and reef-safe formula was developed after a search for a gentle, non-nano, and effective mineral SPF proved fruitless. Made in Australia, the dermatologist-tested and non-comedogenic sunscreen melts into the skin without leaving a chalky residue or greasy finish, providing calm, conscious protection for a life filled with salty hair and sandy toes. It offers an alternative to sunscreens that are clinical or sticky, promising integrity and quality for you and the ocean.
Our design approach for this project is a synthesis of simplicity and elegance. The typography, meticulously crafted for the brand, strikes a unique balance between modern and familiar. The pictorial mark is a narrative in itself, representing the bond between two sisters, Willow and Indie. Its shape can be seen in multiple ways—a hug from a top view or welcoming, open arms—but its core meaning remains focused on their personalities and sibling connection. This symbol's finish intentionally mimics the free-spirited texture of a child's crayon, a deliberate choice to reflect Indie's playful spirit and give the mark a sense of genuine, unrefined artistry. This visual language is harmonised by a deliberate choice of a muted and earthy colour palette, which collectively reinforces the brand's stylish, authentic, and nostalgic identity.
